Congratulations to our 2010 Scholarship Winners
September 2010, Halifax - The Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) Nova Scotia is pleased to
announce the 2010 winners of its Dr. Stan Heaps Memorial Scholarships. CIPS has been awarding
scholarships annually to Information Technology students in their third or fourth year of a university program
leading to a degree with specialization in computer studies at a Nova Scotia University.
This year two scholarships valued at $1000 were awarded based on overall academic merit with emphasis
on those courses most relevant to computer science. Extracurricular, leadership and community involvement
activities were also considered. Each winner is also offered a one year Student CIPS membership.
We thank all applicants for applying for this scholarship.
Our Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to our youth and also allows us an opportunity to
introduce the benefits of our Professional Organization to our future IT Leaders.
