Requirements: CIPS Provincial Member in good standing, previous experience on a CIPS Provincial or National Committee, Council or Board or similar not-for-profit organization would be an asset.
Appointment: Directors-at-Large are appointed by the National Board of Directors
Term: 2 year term, maximum 3 terms. Terms begin and end at the National AGM.
Commitment: Minimum 2-3 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
The National Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Society and for formulating National policies. Specific responsibilities include:
- Attending meetings of the CIPS National Board of Directors*
- Actively participating in Board discussions;
- Reviewing all Board materials prior to the Board meeting;
- Completing assigned action items
- Voting on Board motions taking into consideration the best interests of the IT Profession, all CIPS members and CIPS as a Professional body.
