Innovation has been the cornerstone of the IT industry since its inception with the pace accelerating over the decades. Some companies such as Apple, Amazon, Google and Uber seem to be able to innovate faster and better than their competitors. They have common principles that can adopted by any organization, large or small, private or public to foster a culture of innovation.
In this presentation, Chris Izquierdo will discuss the principles of innovation and how you can apply them in your organization to begin to disrupt your industry.

Chris Izquierdo founded DevFacto Technologies in March 2007. The goal was simple yet ambitious, Chris wanted to build a global IT consulting company. From the beginning, Chris believed that dedicated employees would help produce powerful results that WOW customers.

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Chris attended the University of Havana and graduated with Honours at the top of his Computer Science class. He moved to Canada 19 years ago. During this time he has designed and implemented two patented algorithms in the field of search spaces and led the development team for a startup (Time Industrial) that had an IPO.
Chris spends two months a year traveling in remote areas where I can hike, climb and explore the great outdoors. His trips has taken him to Patagonia, the Himalayas and the Amazon.
