CIPS E-Mail Issues Update

Dear CIPS Members,

We would like to sincerely apologize to those that were impacted by CIPS' e-mails not functioning this past week and for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Last Friday Sept 16 around 11:30 am EDT all e-mail addresses ceased to function due to an error by CIPS' e-mail hosting company, who mistakenly terminated CIPS' e-mail hosting account. As of Tuesday afternoon our e-mail hosting company wasn't able to recover our setup after numerous phone calls and e-mails to their support. CIPS therefore decided to move our e-mail hosting service to a new provider on Tuesday, and after 40+ hours of propagating to the new hosting CIPS' e-mail service has resumed.

While CIPS' e-mail service is now functioning again we are still working on recreating all CIPS e-mail forwarding addresses and mailing lists.

If you have an e-mail address or were on any mailing lists please send an e-mail to to confirm that your CIPS e-mail is recreated as quickly as possible and set to forward to the correct e-mail address.

Again we apologize for any inconvenience this email downtime may have caused you and we thank you for you patience.
