CIPS Touch Points - Professional deliverables in Information Technology

Dear CIPS members,

This is a call for your contribution to the future of the association  ...

With CIPS' IT Professionalism week (May 16-20) fast approaching CIPS is putting together a document that will detail what it means to be a professional in Information Technology, according to the vision for the profession that we all share as active CIPS members. The document will also highlight the impact that IT, and more specifically, the many achievements from IT practitioners that have been members of CIPS throughout the years, have brought to our lives.

The input will be collected and compiled into a document that will then be distributed among all CIPS members, in order for all of us to use as a reference when communicating the meaning of professionalism in IT. It is up to all of us to act as ambassadors and help spread the message, raise the profile of the profession that is so dear and near to our hearts. The same document will also be made available to the general public.

This is your opportunity to exercise your earned bragging rights!!!

All you need to do is to put together a description of the achievement / project, the year in which it was implemented, and the name of the CIPS member to which it should be credited. Then send it to lucienperon@cips.ca on or before Friday May 6th

Thanks in advance for your help in advancing the profession, one bit at a time.

Director, CIPS Ontario
