National Privacy and Data Governance Congress
Wed, 03/30/2016 - Fri, 04/01/2016
Event Location:

The Privacy and Access Council of Canada is proud to present the National Privacy and Data Governance Congress. This important event brings together professionals and regulatory authorities for a robust inter-disciplinary exploration about some of the most important current and trending issues that affect us professionally and personally: the intersection of privacy, technology, law and governance.

Join colleagues, executives and senior government representatives from across Canada. Develop new partnerships and hear exclusive keynotes. Discover privacy implications of new technologies in the workplace. Learn how to avoid and how to recover from data breaches. Learn practical skills for conducting Privacy Impact Assessments.

Sessions will be longer and presentations will be shorter — so that there will be plenty of time for you to pose questions and get real, unscripted answers.

You’ll get the chance to hear thought-provoking insights from distinguished speakers and industry experts including:

               • Senator James Cowan, sponsor of Bill S-201 to outlaw genetic discrimination

               • New York Times award-winning author Edwin Black

               • Canadian Civil Liberties Association’s Dr Brenda McPhail

               • Connected Car lead researcher Pippa Lawson

               • BC Information and Privacy Commissioner Elizabeth Denham

               • NL Information and Privacy Commissioner Ed Ring

               • NB Information and Privacy Commissioner Anne Bertrand QC

               • Deputy Insurance Superintendent (Alberta) David Sorenson FCIP

               • Canadian Cloud Council Board Chair Martin Kratz QC

Pricing for the Congress includes all workshops, sessions, and all networking opportunities. Attendance is strictly limited to 250 people.

Early Bird pricing is in effect until January 31st.
