Presenter Name:              Mark Dick, ESTI

Title of Presentation:      25 Years of Steady Change

Presentation Overview Description

In January 2014, ESTI Consulting Services was excited and thankful to be celebrating 25 years of operations.  Having run an ICT consulting organization with clients across Canada since before the Web existed, we have seen significant change in the industry and in a number of industries that directly impact ICT - we still remember Canadian Airlines and yes, they impacted our service delivery greatly!  We have seen many good changes, some bad changes, but all were interesting.  This presentation will take a light hearted walk through the last 25 years as seen through ESTI's eyes and if you still remember what Frame Relay is, there's even a little something for you.

Speaker Biography

Mark is originally from the small town of Rosemary located in southern Alberta. Mark took a right turn from his farm roots and began attending the University of Saskatchewan in the late 80's. He received his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in computer science and promptly moved to Ottawa where he began his IT career as an analyst with Revenue Canada. Mark returned to Saskatoon 2 years later and joined the ESTI team as an analyst, software developer, database developer and database administrator.  Proving that if you just stick with something long enough good things will happen, Mark took on the CEO role at ESTI in February of 2004.
