Presentation Overview Description
In Bob Dylan's song, he sings:
Gather 'round people wherever you roam and admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone
If your time is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone
For the times, they are a-changin'
Projects and System Implementations are only successful if they are embraced and used to improve current business processes. Technology is only valuable if it drives benefits to the organization and in order for that to happen, people have to be READY, WILLING, and ABLE to adopt the change.
In BABOK 2.0, Change Management is one of the Transition Requirements identified as necessary to ensure successful adoption of the proposed solution. In 2013, PMI published a Practice Guide on Managing Change in Organizations. Change Management is becoming more and more widely recognized as essential for the realization of Business Benefits in project implementations.
This presentation will help define Change Management and provide an overview of tools and techniques to successfully navigate the people side of change; to help ensure the achievement of project goals and expected outcomes.
