CIPS PEI has established a provincial body to be known as the Canadian Information Processing Society of Prince Edward Island (CIPS PEI).   CIPS PEI holds a seat on the CIPS National Governing Body known as the Canadian Council of Information Technology Professionals (CCITP).  The CCITP is responsible for setting national policies and strategic direction. The Provincial Society is represented on the CCITP by its Provincial President.
