CIPS Past President Stephen Ibaraki 2008 Recipient of Advanced Technology Award for Leadership in Information Technology

The awards ceremony coincides with the 50th anniversary of ASTTBC, the association of technology professionals, and the national AGM of the CTT (Canadian Council of Technologists and Technicians) on October 25th. With the awards ceremony in BC, the Premier and the Minister of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development will be speaking and attending. The award is "To acknowledge advancements in technology and the contributions made by individuals, both members and non-members, business and industry, and government to promote pioneer efforts in technology and to recognize the application and adaptation of advanced technology to new uses."

CIPS Past President Stephen Ibaraki Chosen as Chairman of Global Board of World's Largest IT Organization

Mr. Stephen Ibaraki has been chosen as the first Chairman of the Global Board for Culminis. Representing over 1110 member organizations and over 2.7 million IT and business professionals in more than 90 countries, Culminis is the world's largest international organization devoted to the development and growth of the IT community by providing no-charge services to support and connect user groups, associations, and student IT organizations.
