Digital Competencies and Training Modules for Non-IT Professionals - Join our Working Group Today!

Text Box: Join Today! We are currently seeking IT professionals and Non-IT professionals who are currently working in Ontario for an Expert Panel.

 Did you know?

In the course of their careers, few workers have the chance to stay abreast of new technology and the role it plays in creating strategic advantage or challenges.

You can help design training to be used by professionals and mid-level managers as they are prepared for roles of greater responsibility – you too can benefit from the training developed.

This training will enhance the capacity of all industries to embrace innovative technologies and boost the productivity factor in Ontario.

Requirements

—Do you have at least two years of working experience as an IT or non-IT professional? —Do you work in Ontario? —Are you a Manager or HR professional responsible for hiring? —Would you like to be a collaborator on this project, and build a reputation as an innovator in the industry?

ICTC and CIPS invite you to translate your valued professional expertise to help:

- Validate the digital competencies relevant for non-IT professionals (Aug – Oct, 2013);

- Validate the learning objectives and outcomes for current and emerging technologies relevant for non-IT professionals (Sept – Oct, 2013);

- Test and shape first version of online course

(Sept – Oct, 2013);

- Test and offer feedback on final version of online course (Oct - Nov, 2013);

- Provide insights and demonstrate your commitment to professional development and life-long learning; and

- Shape and boost Ontario’s productivity and performance.

Role

Our Working Group members support this project by providing their knowledge, insights, and experience from eitheran IT or a non-IT perspective. Both of these perspectives are very important:

1.   The IT professional helps by highlighting what is current and relevant to Non-IT professionals;

2.   The Non-IT professional helps by ensuring the modules are clear and meet the needs of Non-IT professionals.

Members will have a variety of opportunities to contribute to one or all three training modulesby: completing short surveys, participating in brief interviews, testing the course, or participating in the online pilot for your professional development or to better understand the value for your organization.
