Twelve intense study days over six months
The IT Leadership Development Program, a unique collaboration between Ryerson University and The CIO SUMMIT, Canada's leader in IT executive development, the 2010 edition comprises three four-day modules over a six-month period, beginning on March 22, 2010. Enrollment for the program, which is held in downtown Toronto, is strictly limited to 24 participants so please register now at www.ciosummit.com  to ensure your place.

Unique university-level program now in its seventh year
This is the only program taught exclusively by IT leaders and top industry practitioners for IT leaders in a post-graduate framework. It prepares information technology managers for the challenges they will face as they move into senior management. Established in 2003, this limited-enrollment program has graduated more than 270 students, many of whom have since moved up to executive roles in their organizations.

Participants gain in-depth understanding of the role of the CIO in delivering business value and accountability to the organization
They learn how to manage the transition to membership in the senior executive team, to act with agility in decision-making, to identify the business drivers of IT support, to mitigate risk, to analyze key metrics for return on investment, and to understand the legal and contractual issues of outsourcing.

Program endorsed by major industry organizations
Sponsors of the IT Leadership Development Program include the CIO Association of Canada; CIPS; ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada).

Praise from graduates
“As an alumnus of the program and having sent my senior staff to the course, I can speak first-hand of the tremendous value it has provided in the succession planning and professional development in my organization. The depth of experience and insight of the CIOs and instructors in the faculty is second to none and the content is focused on the challenges IT leaders are facing now.

The CIO Association of Canada is pleased to recommend the program to our members, many of whom have reaped its benefits.”
Andrew Dillane, President, CIO Association of Canada; CIO & VP, CSA, Sapphire Technologies Canada

“An excellent opportunity to learn from well-established, senior IT leaders whose insight, knowledge and experience really help put today’s IT challenges in perspective, and they offer both practical and theoretical solutions to meet those challenges. The program is also a great opportunity to network with fellow IT professionals and to share best practices with each other.”
Rick Coutts, Vice President, IT and Integration, TransCanada Pipelines Limited

“The calibre of industry experts providing direct expertise and analysis sets this learning experience apart from other leadership courses. With a focus on application of knowledge and skills learned in a practical setting and with ‘real-life’ scenarios and case studies, the insights I gained are ones from which I have been able to draw consistently. Having the opportunity of informal networking over lunch with Keith Powell or Peter Keen is worth the enrollment fee in itself.”
Samantha Liscio, CIO, Central Agencies Cluster, Government of Ontario
