CIPS Advocacy Rep
Purpose of Role:
CIPS is looking to hire a CIPS member as a "CIPS Advocacy Rep" that will expand the reach of CIPS' communication, encourage discussions amongst members, and stimulate membership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate CIPS and its products to current members, potential members, businesses (HR), and schools
- Regular monitoring of CIPS social networking websites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Stimulating discussion groups through posting questions and encouraging discussions
- Consolidating discussions into draft CIPS platforms, positions, papers etc.
- Regular communication with CIPS staff
- Advocacy rep will be encouraged to bring own ideas and initiatives to the table
Skills and Knowledge:
- CIPS I.S.P. or ITCP holder preferred
- 5+ years of IT professional work experience

Work Hours Details:
- 6 hours a week
- Contract to end June 30th 2010 (potential for renewal)
