CIPS Advocacy Rep

 

Purpose of Role:

CIPS is looking to hire a CIPS member as a "CIPS Advocacy Rep" that will expand the reach of CIPS' communication, encourage discussions amongst members, and stimulate membership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate CIPS and its products to current members, potential members, businesses (HR), and schools
  • Regular monitoring of CIPS social networking websites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Stimulating discussion groups through posting questions and encouraging discussions
  • Consolidating discussions into draft CIPS platforms, positions, papers etc.
  • Regular communication with CIPS staff
  • Advocacy rep will be encouraged to bring own ideas and initiatives to the table

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • CIPS I.S.P. or ITCP holder preferred
  • 5+ years of IT professional work experience

 

Attributes:

  • Strong PC skills
  • Experienced social networking websites user
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Strong communication skills

 

Work Hours Details:

  • 6 hours a week
  • Contract to end June 30th 2010 (potential for renewal)
