CIPS Kamloops welcomes new Exec

via CIPS Kamloops website:

Please join me in welcoming two new members to the CIPS Kamloops Executive, Krishna Lakkineni (President) and Tracy Liesch (Web and Newsletter Editor).

Krishna Lakkineni - President

Krishna Lakkineni is currently the CEO of ROI Media Works, and has more than eight years of experience in website and web application development related to the online marketing Industry. Krishna started an online marketing agency two years ago which has now grown into a cutting edge, full-services Internet marketing agency offering performance based online marketing services like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click Campaigns (PPC), Social Media Engagement and web analytics. Over the years, he has worked on a number of online marketing campaigns that included some Fortune 500 companies, like Dell, Expedia, and Ladbrookes. He moved to Canada three years ago when a sub division of Qubecor media recruited him from England to work on their online marketing campaigns for Automotive websites. Krishna has expert knowledge and understanding of search engine optimization, various pay per click campaign platforms like Google Adwords and developed campaigns for many small and medium enterprises. With developed business connections, Krishna believes CIPS could leverage his contacts and consider bringing them in as monthly speakers for our events.

Tracy Liesch - Web and Newsletter Editor

Tracy Liesch has been a CIPS (ISP and ITCP) certified member since 2008. Tracy resides in Ashcroft, BC and has been working with School District No.74 (Gold Trail) since October 1992. Tracy currently holds the position of Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Education and prior to this, she worked in the Technology Department as the BCeSIS Coordinator, District Trainer, Software Support and Data Analysis Technician. She graduated in June 2010 from the University of Victoria as a Provincial Instructor for Adults and Continuing Education, has taught computer courses at Thompson Rivers University, and has made learning a life long commitment. Aside from education, Tracy enjoys travelling, curling, tennis, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Over the next several weeks, Krishna and Tracy will begin transitioning into their new roles with the CIPS Kamloops Executive. Their two year terms will officially begin July 1st, 2011.

Outgoing Exec

At this time, on behalf of CIPS Kamloops, I would also like to recognize and thank our outgoing Executive members Vera Merkusheva (President), Steve Sereda (Web and Newsletter), and Wayne Pinette (Program Coordinator II) as they wrap up their terms this month. Vera, Steve, and Wayne’s leadership, time and dedication in their roles on the Executive have contributed greatly to the success and sustainment of the Kamloops chapter, which is also recognized by CIPS BC and CIPS National.

We are looking forward to another great year ahead of us. Transition and planning of our 2011-2012 program will continue amongst the Executive over the summer months.
