Through a special academic partnership between CIPS and the University of Fredericton, the University is offering bursaries for the on-line Executive Master for Business Administration Degree (EMBA) class.
Eligibility for Information Systems Professional Designation Holders:
Members who are active holders of the Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.), but who do not have an undergraduate degree may be considered for non-degree registration. Upon successful completion of three EMBA courses with a B average (for credit), students may apply for consideration for entry into the degree program. For information on the I.S.P. designation, visit About the I.S.P.
"As a self-employed practitioner, I am interested in the University of Fredericton EMBA because it provides a quality education at an affordable price," said CIPS Past President John Boufford I.S.P. "The business topics make practitioners much more valuable to their clients and to employers."
CIPS partnered with the University of Fredericton in April of 2007. The University of Fredericton is a new on-line university based in New Brunswick which offers an Executive MBA in Collaborative Leadership. The University of Fredericton is designated as Canada's newest university under "Section 3" of the Degree Granting Act of the Province of New Brunswick.
"The 21st century 'learning force' needs a dramatically different kind of university, one which is designed to respond to a rapidly changing global society, with flexible access to higher education for working professionals, programs of global quality and the very best teaching from leaders in academic and industry. These are the features of the University of Fredericton," said UC Education Inc. President Glenn McInnes.
