IT World Canada’s “TECH LEARNING SPACE” Launches Online I.T. Management Programs that Earn CIPS Recertification Credits for I.S.P. & ITCP Holders

In early June Tech Learning Space will unveil a schedule of new ONLINE educational programs designed to upgrade the career-enhancing skills of today’s busy IT professional. Courses planned for the June launch include:

Realizing Social Media Success– An Advanced Level course covers the fundamentals of Digital Social Media governance, policy formulation, organization design factors, and measurement strategies. The course will provide business, communication, marketing and information technology practitioners the strategic and practical approach to excel in social media applications, to design and implement successful social media strategies and programs. Waterloo, Project Leadership Program; - The University of waterloo is the only top-level institution offering an online certification program in project leadership, which also covers preparing for the PMI exams. This certificate project management program features weekly video panel discussions, seasoned industry leaders from all major sectors of the economy, and offers in-depth foremost practitioners providing invaluable leadership insight from the real world. (CIPS recertifcation credits for the successful completion of this program total 160 credits.)

Vendor Relationship Management;- Whether your IT shop’s services are all in-house, completely outsourced, or somewhere in-between, developing and maintaining the working relationships with your vendors is key to your success.  With no end in sight to increasing demand on IT and budget pressures, the support of  your key vendors is critical to delivering IT services that are effective and reliable.  This course is a guide to developing, keeping, and enhancing the relationships with your vendors and your business users. (CIPS recertifcation credits for the successful completion of this program total 50 credits.)

Mastering Financial Acumen & Strategic Thinking; - This course introduces key accounting principles to help participants understand how to evaluate the financial viability of a business. Participants will learn how to calculate net worth, cost of business activities, and key financial ratios. The concepts of revenue and expense recognition will be demonstrated, as well as how to control cash and analyze cash flow and financial statements. The course also includes important managerial concepts such as cost-volume-profit, relevant costing and quality management. Participants will learn to apply financial and managerial accounting principles through group assignment and case work. (CIPS recertifcation credits for the successful completion of this program total 60 credits.)

Mastering Financial Acumen Fundamentals*;- This course introduces key accounting principles to help participants understand how to evaluate the financial viability of a business. Participants will learn how to calculate net worth, cost of business activities, and key financial ratios. The concepts of revenue and expense recognition will be demonstrated, as well as how to control cash and analyze cash flow and financial statements. (CIPS recertifcation credits for the successful completion of this program total 30 credits.)  *Note that this program is entirely a Self-Paced Online course design.
