CIPS Nova Scotia
Stan Heaps Scholarship: In August 2011 CIPS Nova Scotia announced that Alex Sanford of Acadia University was the recipient of the 2011 Dr. Stan Heaps Memorial Scholarship. (Click Here for 2010 Winners)
CIPS NS - NSCC Scholarships: CIPS Nova Scotia has entered into an agreement with the Nova Scotia Community College to provide two $500 scholarships to second year students enrolled in any concentration of the Information Technology program. [Click Here to Read More]

CIPS Alberta Scholarships (Updated February 2012):
CIPS Alberta currently has the following scholarships available to students:
- Athabasca University: The CIPS Alberta board passed a motion at the November 26/11 board meeting to implement a $500 annual scholarship through Athabasca University
- Blaine Feniak Memorial Scholarship: this is a CIPS administered scholarship established in 2009. The scholarship is open to any CIPS student member or children of CIPS members enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited program in Alberta or the Northwest Territories. Two scholarships at $500 each are awarded in the fall and two are awarded during the winter semester
- Mount Royal University: $500 Canadian Information Processing Society Scholarship is awarded annually through the Faculty of Science and Technology
- NAIT: An endowment has been in effect with NAIT since the 1980’s – the annual award is available to a student enrolled in the second year of digital media and IT program
- SAIT: A $500 scholarship is awarded annually
- University of Alberta: Three scholarships are awarded annually – the Canadian Information Processing Society Scholarship in the amount of $1875, the CIPS Donald B. Scott Memorial Prize in Computing Science in the amount of $750 and the CIPS Stan Heap Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1875. Awards are given based on superior academic achievement by nomination from the Department of Computing Science
- University of Calgary: A $500 scholarship is given out once per year.
