Presentation Overview
The presentation will cover the requirements for the PMI-ACP certification and suggestions for preparing for it. Grant will also discuss whether Agile project management is really any different from regular project management, going a level deeper than the common comparison of waterfall to agile practices.
Speaker Biography
Grant Kerr is a project management consultant with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, utilities, financial services, automotive and natural resources industries from startups to Fortune 500 companies in Canada, USA, Australia and Japan.
He is certified by PMI as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and as a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and is accredited by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) as a project management competency assessor – performing IPMA Level-B and Level-D assessments for the Project Management Association of Canada.
Grant Kerr holds a BSc from the University of Regina, an MBA from York University, and a PhD in Strategy, Programme and Project Management from SKEMA Business School. His PhD research area was projects with high uncertainty, frequent change, and significant conflict
