Presentation Overview Description

The concept of a global IT profession is even more than ever, on the minds of government and industry leaders around the world. Brenda attended the IFIP World Computer Congress in Amsterdam Netherlands Sept 24th-26th. www.wcc-2012.org The theme of the congress was "Towards an innovative, secure and sustainable information society". She will discuss the pursuit of a Global IT Profession that is occurring around the world, what it takes to build a profession and predictions on the role Information Technology out to 2020.

Speaker Biography

Director Technical Systems, PotashCorp, manages the support, maintenance of the corporate IT Infrastructure. She manages projects of differing size and scope, from developing business cases and feasibility studies to process improvement and redesign of the PotashCorp IT infrastructure. The majority of her time is spent in the area of Program and Portfolio management, which includes providing technology architecture recommendations for corporate and divisional projects.

Brenda is the current CIPS National Board Chair.
