Presentation Overview
To ensure we are trusted, there are a number of questions about specific issues. How much are we ethically required to tell our clients/customers? What impact might ethics have on IT Architecture? How are IT Ethics different from Business Ethics? Most importantly, how can CIPS gather such questions and build some consensus about them?
A key component of any professionalism efforts should be discussions about Ethics. A brief review of the CIPS Code of Ethics, which members are required to sign, and a more general discussion about the definition of Ethics and why they require day-to-day review of our practices.
Speaker Biography
Donna Lindskog is an Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.) and has her Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina. She has worked in the IT industry since 1978. Most of those years were at SaskTel where she progressed from Programmer, to Business Analyst, to Manager. At one point she had over 48 IT positions reporting to her and she has experience outside of IT managing Engineers.
