Interdisciplinary Programs

Accredited Programs

To further streamline its processes and procedures, the Computer Science Accreditation Council (CSAC) decided on April 17, 2004 that it will be moving to a more structured accreditation process. All accreditation reviews will take place during the Summer and Fall and reports are reviewed at the Council's Spring meeting in the subsequent year. At the same time, accreditation periods will no longer be tied to specific months, but will be reflected in whole years.

Definition of an inter-disciplinary program: A program where the material in computer science is combined with material from one or more, frequently quite different disciplines, to form an inter-disciplinary or joint degree program. The inter-disciplinary accreditation criteria do not apply to programs in which students take courses in CS as a secondary discipline (e.g. a minor in CS).
