About Brenda: Brenda Byers' involvement with CIPS has been long standing, with her first position as VP of the CIPS Saskatoon Section in 1994, when her boss at the time asked her to step in and give back to the IT community.  She has been connected to the CIPS community ever since, previously serving on the National Board as the Saskatchewan Regional Director. Brenda has served in almost every role at the CIPS provincial board level from President to Program Director.  She remains very committed and passionate to what CIPS stands for - Professionalism in the IT Industry.  

A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (B. Comm. in Computer Science), during her career, Brenda has developed expertise in the areas of Technical support and management, Program and Project Management, Enterprise Architecture and ITIL process improvement. Brenda is currently employed as the Director of Technical Systems at PotashCorp. The Technical System group's responsibilities include project management, technology architecture, support and maintenance processes, which helps to ensure the effectiveness of the international technical infrastructure and data communication systems for PotashCorp.

Outside of CIPS, Brenda has also taken on the role of Vice-Chairman of the joint venture with IEEE-CS and the Australian Computer Society in developing an international ITBOK.  She is also on the Ethics Committee for FEAPO (Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations) and serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Saskatchewan Mining Association.

About Gina: Gina manages the CIPS professional standards portfolio, which includes all standards related committees and the certification and accreditation portfolios. She manages the Accreditation Secretariat and is the main point of contact for schools seeking information about program accreditation. She also provides support to the Provincial Associations in administering the I.S.P. and ITCP programs.
