Throughout her school years, Colette has always had a strong interest for Math and Sciences. She graduated from the Computer Science program at UNB in 1986 and later that summer joined Metropolitan Life in Ottawa as a programmer /analyst. In 1990, Colette decided to move on to the challenging and rewarding world of management consulting with Price Waterhouse (PW) in Ottawa. It was at that point that she decided that a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) would make a great complement to her Bachelors degree. Colette started her studies part-time while working and completed an MBA from the University of Ottawa in 1996. She joined PW as a senior consultant in 1990, and then progressed through the roles of manager and later, senior manager where she led the Federal Government IT strategy practice, which consisted of a team of 12 members. In addition, Colette is a trained workshop facilitator, where she has led over 150 workshops with all levels of client organizations to define business and IT strategies and related opportunities.
Colette has been a member of CIPS for the last 11 years and is also a certified Information Systems Professional (ISP) since 1993.
In 2000, Colette and her husband decided to relocate their family to New Brunswick to be closer to family. Colette has since joined EDS Canada in Fredericton as the NB team manager and senior management consultant. Colette also serves on the CIPS Executive of the Fredericton Section to get involved and to network with colleagues in the local community. What she enjoys most about her career is working with people and the constant challenge to keep up to date with technology and new business models. She gets great satisfaction from working with clients, understanding their business, as well as current issues and challenges, and bringing her expertise to the table to come up with strategies and business opportunities to address these challenges.
