Fall is upon us, and the CIPS Toronto Section is starting the season with a premier event to be held at the National Club of Canada on Thursday, October 20 at 5:30pm.
For the 2011/2012 season, we will be working closely with CIPS Ontario to bring you cornerstone jointly produced events like this one (the October event being also in co-operation with ISACA).

Lisa K. Abe, B. Comm., Juris Doctor is Senior Partner in the Technology and Intellectual Property practice of Fasken Martineau LLP. She has been ranked as one of Canada’s top technology lawyers by Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and has written extensively on topics ranging from IT outsourcing to governance to nanotechnology and the law. Lisa is former Chair and current Board member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and a member of the Canadian and International Technology Law Associations. Her client list includes some of the top corporations in Canada, including BMO, Air Canada and Citrix Systems.

Robert Wolfe, Ph.D is President of Viscount Innovations Incorporated and was responsible for worldwide strategic planning for IBM's Software Group. Robert currently advises the Boards of Directors of some of the largest software companies in the world, as well as selected smaller technology ventures in matters of business strategy, operational efficiency and mergers & acquisitions. He received his Ph.D. from MIT in Civil Engineering and has been on the Faculty of U of T’s Rotman School of Management.
