The enemy within your network – how to hack the Virtual LAN The use of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) within the corporate network environment allows administrators amazing flexibility in reconciling complex logical design requirements with restrictive physical connectivity. But the use of VLANs does have it drawbacks and can present challenges for network administrators who are looking for added security from tight IT budgets. VLANs have been designed with efficiently and scalability in mind and should never be considered a security mechanism for the network.

Attend this luncheon to learn about:

  • Security threats to the VLAN environment
  • Secure VLAN design concepts
  • How VLANs can be easily hacked

As an added bonus you will receive a live Hacking demonstration of a VLAN environment

Wil Knol is a well known security consultant and hard core technology geek, all rolled into one. As a founding member of Protospace, he has spoken to students from SAIT and The U of C on hacker techniques. You can find him as @wintr on twitter.
