Business Continuity Management

The Business Continuity Management Discussion Group encompasses the following disciplines:

Incident Management,
Emergency Management,
Crisis Management,
Business Continuity Planning,
Disaster Recovery Planning,
and more.

This national BCM Discussion Group aims to foster communication between BCM practitioners across Canada and beyond. Hopefully an infrastructure of discussions according to topic and/or phyical location will allow focussed information sharing and solutions to be achieved - at the same time allowing all members to observe and benefit.

Your questions, observations and especially your contributions are welcome.

Hello CIPS National BCM Subscriber,

With mixed feelings, this is to advise that I am withdrawing from this Discussion Group for the foreseeable future while CIPS re-organizes the parent site and provides the necessary tools to manage individual discussion groups.

Linked In Business Continuity Groups

For those of you using LinkedIn for networking, did you know that you can link up with groups who are associated with the BCM industry.

I am linked into DRIE and BCI groups and there is also DRI groups.

Have a look - it is one way to expand your network and connect with more similarly minded professionals.

The CIPS Toronto Section BCM Special Interest Group was started in 2002 and until this Fall in 2009 has met regularly each month from September to June. Its roundtable discussion format has proven its value for both networking with and information exchange among the locally-based leading BCM practicioners.
